SHAKESPEARE RE:LOADED
Shakespeare RE:LOADED presents ‘Warning’. An advert to promote Shakespeare’s Globe annual performance of the infamous play ‘Romeo & Juliet’ (advertised in Waterloo Station, London).
In Romeo & Juliet, their romance was a huge risk due to what they were willing to leave behind for love. If only they were warned of how their tragic love story would end. This was the insight for the posters. The design entails the simplicity of the aesthetic that Transport for London (TFL) use for their own warning posters, instructing commuters to ‘keep an eye out’, ‘mind the gap’, ‘beware’ and so forth. The idea is to have the posters blend into the other posters that TFL use, to catch commuters off guard.
